When I try to install Yahoo Msgr Avast says I have a win32 Trojan:gen, what's up?

I have run spybot, adaware, ccleaner, hijackthis, and cwshredder. I am hoping for a false positive but even if it is I don't know what to do about it. So I am stuck wether I have a trojan or not
