When you open avast from the start menu it will ask you to register the program and will direct you to a web site where you need to fill in some forms and they will send you the product key.
If that doesn't happen when you open avast from the start menu then while avast is still loading you can click on registration - the first white line on the right. There is a key and a registration with words. It iwll direct you to the same web site.
