no i been using comodo firewall for weeks and nothing happened

but my anti virus is AVG free edition

so i have no problem at all

We installed avast a few months back and haven't had any problems so far! Fingers crossed! We used to have Norton. Now that messed our PC up!!!
If it's the Comodo 3.0 beta version,then yes. It is loaded with bugs. During operation but mostly on reboots. If you loaded the 2.4 version and avast installed together then that will also cause major problems.
With comodo, if you deny certain applications (svchost in particular) it will cause your internet to stop working. It appears that's not your problem though....you could try restoring maybe?
Did you remove all other anti virus programs before installing Avast, and restart after installation?

No, I use both of them myself and get on fine with them. Having tried all sorts of freeware, I've found these to be the best firewall and anti-virus software that I've come across.
How has it gone weird? Maybe you just have a few simple settings that you need to change and everything will be back to normal.
