Can I have Avg 8 pro and Avast! free in one pc?

I think it would be better if I would use both av since they will be catching what the other have missed. i heard from someone that they could be used in one pc without conflicts. Is it really possible?

It should work fine. However, if your computer isn't that great, I wouldn't suggest it, since having two AVs on one computer can really slow it down.

edit: People are saying you can't, but I've run a few AVs at the same time, and never had any problems. Maybe it's something with AVG vs. Avast. My recomendation if you stick to one would be AVG.

not a good idea as it may cause a conflict..keep the avast and get rif of the avg....make sure to utilize the boot time scan of avast.it's great..cheers
bad idea they will conflict im sure...plus avg rocks u wouldnt need anything but avg
no u can not , it means that ur AVG free will be updated to the new pro when u installing it.

or if u want to install the AVG free after pro, then its saying that u already have pro version.

regards...
It can *maybe* be done if you disable all of the real-time protection of one of them, but I wouldn't suggest it.
