If you want to do a different scan than normal when you click the Local Disks button to start a scan a small bit somewhere will say Standard Scan and below that and above "scan archive files" there is a slide bar. If you slide it to the right Standard Scan will change to Thorough Scan then just start as normal.

Hope this Helps
If you can get it to open to the "Simple User Interface" instead of that stupid media player interface, all you have to do is check mark all the boxes of what you want scanned where it says "areas to scan", then go down to where it says "Type of scan" and check mark "scan archives" and slide that slider over to "thorough."
change the skin from the media player 1st then when u select the scan there r 3 settings quick standard and thorough, just put the pointer against te slide and pick which u want by clicking
Use the FREE scan from Microsoft.

Well, usually, there should be a slide-thing that allows you to select three different settings. One of them is 'Quick-scan' and the other is 'Thorough-scan', but I'm not sure about the third one. Anyway, what you need to do is slide the little bar to the 'Thorough-scan' option. I think that's how it works, anyway. I'm a Norton user, myself.
