Bitdefender is simply the BEST! But the free v. is only a scanner not a blocker. Use the money to buy the Home Edition.

as don1p8 said is is an on demand scanner which means you need to scan to catch viruses.

So you can use 2 anti-viruses.

Try Any of these and use BitDefender as a backup =)

BitDefender free edition has much better virus detection rates than Avast does. However BitDefender Free is an on-demand scanner only and provides no real-time resident protection. Avast does.

I would stick with Avast.
i use avast and its awesome. it even has protection against

harmfull adware and spyware.
