Is there any problem with Zonealarm 7 and Avast Home Antivirus 4.7?

Coz my comp freezes and I cant suspect from where the problem arises

I had a problem with zonealarm firewall it kept locking up - I deleted zonealarm firewall %26 now use comodo free firewall.

Yes. If you install Avast and it detects ZoneAlarm on the system, the installation program pops up a warning that says that Avast's Web Shield conflicts with Zone Alarm's Stealth mode which tries to hide your IP address. The warning also says that Avast! is currently working with Zone Labs in order to fix the problem.

Check with Avast!'s web site to see if they fixed the problem already. Until then, you'll probably have to disable Web Shield or try disabling Zone Alarm's Stealth mode.
I run that exact combo and have no problem whatsoever, they get along well for me, do make sure they are both updated though.... cheers...

ps I also run a few other security progs too along with these and have no issues or complaints... do you have suitable ram size?

i had the same problem so i use comodo firewall and antivir for my anti virus all free from www.cnet.com
It is possible. Avast has in the past had conflicts with certain versions of ZoneAlarm. Most notably the Pro version of ZA.

There is no problem with zone alarm and avast, both run fine, your computer is infected by a virus or Trojan horse. Scan your computer at www.symantec.com for any viruses, Trojan horse and remove these
