I am having trouble with win xp,it gets restarted every time I reboot the computer and won't load.What could be the prob.My antivirus(Avast) doesn't detect any virus in the system.

When the error screen comes up...Hit pause/break and read the error codes...Then repost...Else reinstall XP.
Have you tried to boot in safe mode?
Press F8 when is booting and select Safe mode. After that, try to do a system restore to restore your PC to a few days back (backup your documents)
The other answers are correct. But when you do the F8 thing another thing you can do is a ''step-by-step'' load. That way you can see what is loading and if there are any errors.
