Well, i scanned my computer last night throughly with avast! And it only said ''results of last scan'' after it was finished scanning, so i removed them all, and i noticed that only registry keys got deleted, this file i downloaded to remove my registry, but i uninstalled that now, %26 i didn't restart my computer after that because i needed to go school. So i came back today and my computer just said ''preparing to stand by'' So i waited, it took 5 minutes! Then it went off, the signal on my screen went, i moved my mouse to turn it back on, just a blank black screen went up and a white mouse, so i had to pull the plug out from the mains again, because it wouldnt switch off from my machine. Is this dangerous to do this? Because it happens so often that i have to do it. Do i need to reboot my computer after every virus scan?

your computer was probably ON when u tried to turn it on when u came back from school, and since it was on and u hit the on button, it might have put it on stand by, but yeah...dont oull the plug, holding the power on button until ur computer turns off is a much better idea, so if ur computer acts up again and wont turn off or work, just hold the power buttin until it shuts off, but this shouldnt happen often

if your screen went blank, its either a massive malfunction (favorable one) or your monitor has kicked the bucket (unfavorable). do some system restorin, or if thats not a possiblitly, start burning everything you have and backing up then reinstall windows
You should never pull the plug. That action could result in many problems with your system. If you must shut it down use Ctrl+Alt+Delete to logoff or shut it down.
