I would say no, because the viruses in the "avast chest", or protected like in a vault. They are secure and if you desire you can delete them and they will be gone from your system. They are only kept there in case you have a file that is very important to the operations of your system and the file is infected. An I fail to understand why any body would want to restore an infected file.
If the file with the virus was "cleaned", then I could see being restored.

probably, because it isn't protected, it just prevents program files from running, disabling viruses.
