IS IT SAFE TO INSTALL BOTH AVG AND AVAST???

OR WOULD MY COMPUTER GET MESSED UP???

IS IT SAFE TO INSTALL BOTH AVG AND AVAST???security

No. It is not recommended to have more than one active antivirus application on your computer. They can cause conflicts, are an unnecessary resource drain, and can even flag each others' files as malware leading to eventual corruption of both products.

Below is a reference from Norton. I know you don't use Norton, but the advice applies.

NO WILL BRING COMP. TO A CRAWL ..AND EVEN CANCEL EACH OTHER OUT ...DUMP AVG ..SUCKS 82% DETECTION RATE AS OPPOSED TO 94% WITH AVAST ....
I would be but running both programs will use alot of RAM and slow down your computer.
Running two anti virus programs is never a good idea. Just run one and keep it's definitions up to date.
I would imagine that yes it would be safe, if there was a conflict you could always remove one.
Im not sure whats wrong with having two Anti-Virus's but I wouldn't recommend it. They usualy colide with each other, and when you install certain types it's recommended you uninstall one of them.
Its always best to have only one good anti-virus on a system so u may use AVG antispyware or Eset NOD32 internet security both of this are good or u may even try Kaspersky Internet Security. If u install more than one antivirus ur system will become too slow
Anti Virus programs typically don't like to co exist with each other, its like this PC ain't big enough for the 2 of them.
